About Me

Summerville Law's owner, Kyle Summerville, was born and raised in Southern Illinois, and after building a career that's taken him through some of the country's top law firms and technology companies, he's proud to now be raising his own family right here in the community that shaped him. Kyle earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign before heading to Washington University School of Law in St. Louis and obtaining his bar licenses in Missouri and Illinois.

Kyle's legal career spans nearly a decade of corporate, real estate, estate planning, and commercial law experience. He began at a small firm in Edwardsville, Illinois, focusing on complex estate planning, business formation, and commercial transactions, before transitioning to Armstrong Teasdale LLP, where he worked on mergers and acquisitions of all sizes—including leading diligence on a $108 million bank holding company acquisition—and then to Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner LLP to work on complex domestic and international deals, including a $525 million global carve-out transaction spanning five countries. He then joined Norton Rose Fulbright LLP to help launch the firm's insurance M&A and compliance practice. Most recently, Kyle served as in-house Legal Counsel at Zapier, Inc., an AI automation company, and as Commercial Counsel at ElevenLabs, the leading frontier voice AI company, where he handled enterprise deals, data privacy compliance, AI governance, and SaaS agreements for customers ranging from Fortune 500 companies to highly regulated financial institutions—while also pioneering AI-powered legal technology and automation tools that have transformed how his team works.

With deep experience in contract negotiation, M&A, data privacy and compliance, estate planning, and business formation, Kyle brings big-firm expertise home to Southern Illinois. He'd love the opportunity to put that experience to work for the people and businesses in this community.
